Ok, Blog time!

Windows Home Server. It’s not very often that a Computer Operating System comes along that you can almost get excited about. Windows Home Server seems to fill a number of increasingly important roles in the average or not-so-average home. While I don’t really have a background in technology journalism or operating system design, I know that I like what I see.

Not only does it provide a central storage point for files large and small, it also offers backup and remote connection features. And the ability to host third-party applications gives it a lot more versatility.

Thanks Lambo and Mills

I stumbled across this about a month ago, and I can’t remember forgetting it:

I’m purchasing it from EzyDVD Ulysses 31 - Complete Collection (4 Disc Box Set)

Well, like most computer geeks, I’m running a little home network.

I’ve just added a second-hand Cisco Catalyst 5509 Network Switch to the mix. I really only bought it cos it was cheap, and it’ll be a great tool to tinker, learn and practice on. Will also be useful for LAN parties. I already have a neat little 150KG platform trolley to move it around on.

And here’s a pic of my current network setup. Still no Gigabit

It’s what I drink when I want to stay awake.
